AXAF Project Science: Folding spectra through ACIS and HRC
ACIS: The response matrices for the frontside (FSI) and the backside (BSI)
illuminated CCDs were those available by (anonymous) ftp at benz.mit.edu
on 6 April 1995. The FSI response is contained in the file
acis/RESPONSE_v0.0/acis_fi_g0234p20_thick.rsp; the BSI response is contained in the file
acis/RESPONSE_v0.0/CCID17-36-2_simulations/NO_HRMA/ccid17-36-2_g0234p10_fthick.rsp
.
The data were extended up to 30 keV by simple high-energy extrapolations of the quantum detection efficiency above the range covered in the response matrix. The extrapolation relaxes to a constant value of 0.01.
The quantum detection efficiencies are available in both tabular (FSI, BSI) and graphical formats.
